Limited Capacity! How do we create schools where innovation isn’t a one-time initiative but a daily mindset? A space where every teacher feels empowered to experiment, reflect, and refine their practice in ways that truly benefit students? This 3-hour interactive workshop invites K–12 school and district leaders to explore the Pedagogical Innovation Framework, a practical, relationship-centered model for fostering authentic, student-driven instructional change.

Drawing from the research, reflective tools, and real classroom stories featured in the upcoming book on pedagogical innovation, this session will challenge leaders to reimagine their role not just as implementers of change, but as cultivators of conditions where innovation can thrive.

NYSCATE AI Summer Camp:
Designing Wonder in an AI World

July 23, 2026 - 11:00 - 12:00 ET

Designing Wonder in an AI World is a hands-on workshop that helps educators use Google Gemini to design learning experiences that are purposeful, differentiated, and filled with curiosity. Grounded in Wonder, By Design: A Framework for Pedagogical Innovation, participants will explore how to build a custom Gem that supports instructional planning, scaffolding, student choice, feedback, and “wonder moments” without replacing student thinking. Using a real lesson or unit from their own practice, educators will identify a small, high-leverage opportunity for change and use Gemini to create reusable prompts, differentiated supports, and classroom-ready learning pathways that expand access while maintaining rigor. By the end of the session, participants will leave with a working Gem, an AI-supported differentiation toolkit, a redesigned lesson or mini-unit.
